Pere from Barcelona.
A:Dear Pere,
All right, I understood your question. And many orchids friends have experienced the similar problems, in truth. Finally, there is no resolution perfectly. Because it is dependent on the condition of your plants and your technique. As follows, I'll show you the basical ways. try the way, but I have no responsibility for your plant....., It's joking....
1) Grow in sphagnum moss
This is one of the best way of growing roots
from the non root plants. You had better plant it harder than usual and keep wet slightly. The problems is the meaning ' slightly '. It is true slightly. When you feel the slightly moisture on the sphagnum by your finger. And keep the plant in 70 ~ 80 % shade with good wind for one month al least. If the plant would be health, it must grow and extend the New roots. After extension of the roots, you may grow the plant in the lighter area as the other Paphiopedilums.
2)The another way is putting the plants in water until the new roots to come out. Keep the plants on the surface where only the base position should be kept in water. Usually in a few weeks, the new rooks will come out. Some one put the medicine like hormone or some Medicine like Menederu in Japan that is EDTA solution in this water. But never mind. You don't need it. But you have to care to keep the water fresh. You change the water so many times and keep the same height of the surface of water. Because usually, water will evaporate. To keep the water fresh, you may put charcoal in it , In truth, I want to recommend to use Ceramics but you can not get. In detail, see the special site for Ceramics. Sorry.... it is only in Japanese now. When the roots coming out, wait until the length would be 2 ~ 3 cm al least. After the extending of the roots, you may plant it in sphagnum moss, it is the best.
3) Growing in mix compost without root or less roots is not well. because it is very difficult to keep the plant not to move. If you want the plant in mix compost, you should fix the plant by wire work ( see Fig.).

4) Paph. parishii is not so difficult to grow. The temperature is middle range or lower and they love shading. Be careful not to keep it in too hot, especially in summer.
5) Paphiopedilums jungle collected are prohibited to export and import by Washington treaty. Be careful not to get them in the street markets in their mother countries like in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia etc. Please cooperate to keep the natural plants in their countries and reject the illegal plants. Now it is very easy to get the plants growing from the seedlings around the world. I advice to get the legal one for your hobby.

With my best regards.

Toshi
