(15) Paph. micranthum |
| Very recently, in the 31st, July, I have received the topics that they found Paph. micranthum in the north area, Viet Nam by the members in JAVECO. They has sent their Photo too. Identifying from the Photo, the plant must be Paph. micranthum. In truth, we can not decide it will be Paph. micranthum until we see the flower. It is very interesting to find new Paph. species one after another, you know. There must be some difference between each micranthum in China and Viet Nam, I guess. Because in China, 4 of different varieties were reported. What is the difference, we want to know as fast as possible. |

Paph. micranthum was discovered in the same area where emersonii has been discovered. Don't knowing the information in detail, we have to wait further more in near future. |

| The size of plant, the shape and appearance of leaf and the look of seethe is Paph. micranthum exactly. Do you agree ? | The difference between Paph. micranthum and Paph. delenatii. Paph. delenatii is smaller than the normal one, I guess. |

In the 9th, March, 1999, I have received the photo ( left) of Paph. micranthum collected in Viet Nam ( upper photo). This flower is very similar to the variety Paph. micranthum v. ganxi in China which is discovered as the news variety of micranthum. I mean the total color of pale pink and white colored pouch is similar to the variety. The shape of this photo's flower is very good. The shape of flowers might dependent on the individual plants, I guess. We expect that we will be able to get the seedling in flask of this plants officially in future. |
