| Dear Toshinori, It has been a long time, since we had our last contact. Well, I am quite busy here in China with me job, which is a really exciting one. Just these days I have finished seed collecting for micropropagation of cypripedium ( I have gathered seeds of 11 species, some in big quantities), which we will raise in our nursery here in the reserve. The nursery is finished, it covers more than 2000 m2 of beds for cypripediums, alpine plants and ornamentals. The project will be carried out in co-operation with the CITES-authorities in Beijing and Chengdu. We are also intend to spread the project to Paphiopedilums, which can be produced in subtropical Chengdu. Yours sincerely, Holger |
