In the monthly meeting, May, your hybrid of Paph. Vanda M. Pearman ( T-515, Paph. bellatulum 'Maki's Mint' x delenatii 'Maki's Trearsure') was awarded, HCC/JOS 76pts. For me, this is the first experience of awarded Paph that I grew from the young seedlings in flask. Thank you very much, Dr. Tanaka. I want this flower to get higher points in the judging next year . I have other plants that are blooming now. I 'm looking

This is selected clone from my hybrids. For the next flowering, it will bloom in much more nice shape of flower, I expect.

' Dreamy Maki ' and ' Maki's Happiness ' are the first flower that I have selected in this year from the seedling of Vanda M. Pearman, I have made the cross by myself. I hope that we will be select many nice clones from my hybrids like these. The both clones' flower in photo is very huge with 5.2 cm of Petal width. In truth, the plants were not so matured enough, they will flower much better in future, I expect.

' Maki's Treasure 'I have selected this clone in May, 1999. This cross is made by me also and is the brother or sister plants of the selected clone ' Dreamy Maki ' described above, T414. We are surprised the big difference in the color of flowers. This flower is very good shape and very huge, P width 5.2cm and NS11cm.
A lot of new flowers from the seedling by my self are coming in the season. When I see the budding, I'm excited with them.

In June and July, 1999, I have a lot of flowers of Paph. Vanda M. Pearman that were made by my self. In this time, I have selected about 15 clones and have crossed immediately. I mean that the selected clone has the petal width of over 5 cm and good shape. I'll introduce some of them now.
These selected clones were crossed in the day. I expect the results, not their flower but succeed to breed or not.
